Terms of Service

Welcome to OnlyLocals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and OnlyLocals ("OnlyLocals," "we," "us") covering your use of onlylocals.ai and our related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use OnlyLocals

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. By using the Service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at hello@onlylocals.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What OnlyLocals is

OnlyLocals is a platform that helps local professionals discover events, connect with one another, and let businesses host and sell tickets to events. We provide the platform. We are not the organizer of events listed by others, and we are not a party to any agreement between an event host and an attendee.

4. Events and tickets

• Event hosts are solely responsible for their events, including accuracy of listings, running the event, safety, and honoring any tickets sold.
• When you buy a ticket, your purchase is a transaction between you and the host (the merchant of record). Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Refunds, cancellations, and disputes for paid tickets are handled by the host under their own policy. OnlyLocals does not control and is not responsible for events or refunds.
• OnlyLocals may charge the host a platform fee on ticket sales, disclosed at checkout or in the host's dashboard.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (your profile, event listings, messages, images). By posting it, you grant OnlyLocals a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or fraudulent.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Post spam, scrape data, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Collect or misuse other members' information, including their location or contact details.

7. Fees and payments

Some features involve payments (for example, paid event tickets). Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. You authorize the applicable charges when you complete a purchase.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that events will occur as described, that members are who they claim to be, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for your own safety when meeting people or attending events.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnlyLocals will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for events organized by others. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OnlyLocals harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your events, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk for other members.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
